3,Q:The slipping of the specimen in the electronic tensile testing machine is caused by what reasons?
A:

The clamping length of the test is too short. The correct way to use the fixture of the electronic tensile machine should be: when the clamping length of the specimen is the same as the length of the fixture teeth, first push the jaws with external force to generate initial frictional force on the clamping surface, and then load the specimen through the movement of the electronic tensile machine beam. When the friction force pulls the jaws (wedge-shaped mouth), due to the action of the inclined surface, the greater the axial tension, the greater the clamping force generated. The fixture of the testing machine specifically has two inclined wedge-shaped mouths, which are designed according to the above clamping method and are designed to accept uniform compressive stress.
Improper selection of fixture jaws Electronic tensile machine fixtures come in various specifications and clamping surfaces. Different types of jaws should be used for different specimens.
